Learn How to Draw Waddles Quickly & Easily!

Start by drawing a nice circle for the piglet’s belly (00 min 21 sec). For drawing the guidelines, always work with light strokes. That way, you’ll be able to erase them easier and without any hassle.

Next, draw another circle that’s a smidge bigger and overlaps a bit with the first one (00 min 33 sec). Plus, it should be positioned higher. Add another circle, and put it inside the second one (make it +/- half the size).

Then, go ahead and draw two lines that look like an “X” together (00 min 57 sec). After that, the real fun starts. By using mightier strokes, draw the cheeks inside the third circle (01 min 06 sec).

The nose comes next. As for the eyes, they should be positioned right on the perimeter of the third circle (01 min 54 sec).

Draw two equally-sized circles and add a bigger one to the right. The ears shouldn’t be hard to draw, as the rest of the facial features will guide your hand (02 min 13 sec).

After you finish with the hand to the left and the long line at the bottom, your pig will start to look like the real thing and you’ll almost master how to draw Waddles (02 min 54 sec).

By using the “X” we just made, draw the second arm below the center and right on the perimeter (03 min 10 sec). The legs and the rest of the belly are the easiest part – just follow the instructions in the video. The final step is to use a marker and erase all the supporting strokes (04 min 44 sec).

What about the colors, you might ask? Well, color as you wish. Now you know how to draw Waddles!

Before you learn how to draw Waddles, did you know?

Waddles is a cute piglet. He got his name from one of the screenwriters for the world-famous show. The truth is – the woman had a number of pet pigs at home back when she was a little girl. Check this out: every single year, Aury (that’s her name) would pick a pig and raise it with love and care. But, at the end of the year, her family would turn Waddles into a delicious meal. Next year, she would get a brand-new pig and love it just the same until her mom and dad cooked it and served as dinner.

Mr. Hirsch decided to give Mabel an adorable piglet because his sis, Ariel, has always wanted to be friends with one. Furthermore, she has some sort of a “pig shrine” in her bedroom! Did you know that Waddles was lucky enough to be nominated at the Kids’ Choice Awards a few years back?

Yep, and the nomination was that of the best animal sidekick in an animated TV series. Unfortunately, he lost and Patrick, Spongebob’s BFF, took the award. Still, this cute and overzealous pig is, without a doubt, one of the finest on-screen characters you’ve ever seen. So, no wonder you and so many other people want to learn how to draw Waddles. He’s a superstar, that’s for sure, but when it comes to drawing him, it’s quite easy.

Some Things To Keep In Mind…

These tutorials are only here to guide you. Your drawing does not need to look "identical" to mine.

Start with rough but light pencil strokes that you can work into the shapes you want.

Once you have your rough drawing completed, go over it in a darker stroke for your final drawing.

Add shading and/or color to complete if desired.

Using this technique you will be able to draw anything after some practice... even without following step-by-step tutorials.
