Yes, this is a simple drawing, and it’s perfect for us, the beginners. If you’re a rookie just like me, make sure you grab your favorite pencil and follow me in this how to draw a Cup tutorial. Start in the left corner (00 min 10 sec). Create a basic line like the one you see in my video and only then add the curve on the right that looks like a question mark.

See that simple shape on the right (00 min 22 sec)? It will help us form the cup’s handle. Ok, now that the foundation is in place, it’s time to add a huge oval for the top of the composition (00 min 29 sec). It should be a horizontal shape and cover the upper half of our cup. Alright, we’re actually done with this video lesson, because the end result looks like the real thing.

But if you want more realism, stick with me in this how to draw a Cup tutorial and let’s add another oval like the one we just did (00 min 37 sec). The final detail is that lonely half-circle inside of it. Now everything looks even better, doesn’t it? If you’re up for it, color the coffee black and use something bright and beautiful for the cup.

Some Things To Keep In Mind…

These tutorials are only here to guide you. Your drawing does not need to look "identical" to mine.

Start with rough but light pencil strokes that you can work into the shapes you want.

Once you have your rough drawing completed, go over it in a darker stroke for your final drawing.

Add shading and/or color to complete if desired.

Using this technique you will be able to draw anything after some practice... even without following step-by-step tutorials.
