Learn How to draw A Rose – On A Stem Quickly & Easily!
Unlike most of our fine tutorials, we’ll begin this one – how to draw a rose – on a stem – without any guidelines. Start from the middle: creates an S-like curve that points to the right and another one (identical to it) that looks the other way (00 min 17 sec). Once that’s in place, add another couple of curves at the bottom to create two beautiful leaves (00 min 33 sec).
This will be the foundation for our beautiful drawing. What you’ll need to do next is add a huge and quite curvy line on top of our leaves (it looks a lot like a question mark that lies flat) (00 min 50 sec). As you can see in the video, I added a smaller curve on top of it that’s almost like a shorter twin of the original. Do the same and let’s move on with this how to draw a rose – on a stem tutorial.
Actually, we’re happy to say that the hardest part is done. The rest is a matter of adding additional lines here and there to complete the picture. Connect the huge curves we just made with the leaves in the middle (01 min 20 sec). Next, finish the top of the rose like you see in the video guide. All done with that? Then it’s time to move to the final stage.
Our how to draw a rose – on a stem manual is almost over. All that’s left to do is draw two vertical lines at the very bottom to simulate the stem (02 min 23 sec). Wait, that’s not it yet: add two (or more) thorns at the end. You can try different things with this rose: make some parts bigger and maybe even change the proportions. As long as it works for you, go for it!
