Learn How to draw A Degu Quickly & Easily!
As far as the rodents go, this one’s probably the cutest. That’s exactly why we decided to create this how to draw a Degu tutorial. First of all, it’s uplifting. Second, you’ll learn some useful tricks along the way. Before we start, you should take a minute and get your stuff together: a paper of the exact size that I use, and a clear state of mind. Now go ahead and use light strokes for the rough sketch (00 min 37 sec).
That huge oval in the middle is where the head will be. As with any other “portrait”, you’ll need two lines – one from left to right, and one from top to bottom – to create a perspective for the actual drawing. Once you’re done with that, draw a tiny oval at the bottom of the big circle and add the ears (00 min 51 sec). Next, put some rough shapes for the body and the hands/legs (01 min 36 sec). And that’s it for the into to the how to draw a Degu manual.
You could’ve already noticed that I really like to begin my drawings of brutes with the nose (02 min 21 sec). There’s nothing to it, but it allows to position all the other features right. Of course, the eyes come next (02 min 38 sec). Keep in mind that unlike most of the drawing on our website, the left eye of the Degu is way bigger than the right one because of the angle.
The head comes next (03 min 10 sec). It basically repeats the rough sketch but you’ll have to create a more curvy shape that goes beyond the limits of the oval and, make it fluffy. The ears might prove to be the hardest part of this how to draw a Degu tutorial because they’re quite curvy and sophisticated (03 min 40 sec). Don’t worry, though: simply follow the video.
A brute like that can’t go one without its mustache (04 min 00 sec). After you deal with the claws, move on to the body and bring this home (04 min 39 sec). Just like with the head, you should go over the guiding lines but make them way fluffier. The final step is to color the nose pitch-black and erase the rough sketch (05 min 13 sec).
