Before you learn how to draw a Jurassic Park Explorer Vehicle, did you know?
All Tour Vehicles in the Jurassic Park movie were 1992 model Ford Explorer XLTs.
The Explorer is used for taking visitors on tour around Jurassic Park. They start off at the Visitor Center and continue through the main gate and on to the Dilophosaurus, Triceratops, and T-Rex areas. Fearing the oncoming storm, the vehicles were programmed to return directly to the Visitor Center although they never did.
When all power was cut off during the Isla Nublar incident, both EXP 4 and 5 were stood outside the T-Rex paddock where EXP 4 was hit by a T-Rex withTim Murphy and Lex still inside. The T-Rex overturned the Explorer which fell off the cliff and onto a tree. In order to save Tim, Alan Grant climbed up the tree. With the branches giving way to the weight of the vehicle, the Explorer fell almost crushing them to death!
EXP 5 was abandoned when Robert Muldoon and Ellie Sattler went looking for the tour group in the T-Rex enclosure.
Now go ahead and learn how to draw a Jurassic Park Explorer Vehicle for yourself by following the simple steps in this video. If you think your drawing turned out awesome, please send it to me so I can post it on this site. Click here to go to the ‘share your drawing’ page.
